CNA certification in Idaho enables you to avail a wide number of job opportunities in the healthcare industry. Requirements for Acquiring CNA Licensure

1. Examination

The eligibility criteria for obtaining the nursing aide certification by examination include:

• Complete a nurse aide program program approved by the state.
• Pass the manual skills evaluation within a period of 6 months after the completion of your program program. You are required to provide the evidence depicting the successful completion of the manual skills exam on the testing day.
• Pass the written evaluation exam within a period of 12 months after the completion of your program program.

If you have completed your CNA Program in another state, you must fulfill the following requisites:

• Submit proof of successful completion of the program program in another state, which must meet all the criteria mentioned in Idaho’s OBRA.
• Successfully completed the competency evaluation within the specific testing timeframes of the state, i.e., qualified the written test within 12 months of completion of program and cleared the skills test within 6 months of the program completion.

2. Reciprocity

If you currently hold a CNA licensure in another state and wish to transfer it to the state of Idaho, you must provide an evidence of holding an active CNA license in another state from where you are transferring.

Renewal / Recertification of the Nursing Aide Licensure in ID

To renew CNA license, you are required to work a minimum of 8 hours as a paid certified nursing assistant in the two years of your certification period.
